With exhaust emissions being targeted by Government, one Farmer in Scotland has found a way to keep the air fresh on his farm!!

Aberdeenshire based David Barron was quick to apply for a Government grant so he could test the claims that an oxy-hydrogen electrolyser could reduce the emissions on his farm vehicles. The unit was fitted to his JCB loader.

After just 4 weeks he was making fuel savings of around 18% and emissions had been reduced by 80%.

"This is incredible", said David. "I was paying 12.99 for 5 litres of Ad-Blue too, but that's not needed now and my filters are clean".

"As farmers, we're under intense pressure to switch to green fuel, but our work means we NEED diesel. The Electrolyser fitted to my vehicle allows us to continue to use diesel but it hybridises the engine by producing oxy-hydrogen simply from water."

"I still need to fill up with regular fuel; just not as often".

The Scottish Government has backed the project and is expected to rollout the programme in the new year.
